I am privileged to have an article on the Shabby Cottage published in the September 2013 issue of The Dolls' House Magazine.
This magazine is published in Great Britain.
I'd like to thank Karen and Christiane for asking me to be part of their Shabby Chic issue.
And in other news...
Look at what I found at the Op shop (Thrift Store) the other day.
The cutest little shed was sitting there on the shelf just waiting for me to come along!
As I don't really like the actual building part of creating a miniature house this has got me very excited...the possibilities are endless...
more to come!!!!
And you'll be pleased to know the Customs officers have finished playing with Sylvia's package and the toilet and basin have arrived here!

Well deserved, beautiful article Mercedes. I can wait to see what you do with that wonderful little building :) Oh wait I already know! Lol You amaze me every day. Can't wait till October. We are going to have a blast. <3 xoxo ~ Kim

Would it not have been nice if the customs officers had left a little Thank You note... :-)
Great op shop find. I love op-shopping for thing for my miniature projects. Look forward to seeing what you do with the shed.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the magazine article. That must be so much fun seeing your gorgeous house published! Your work is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat little shed will be an interesting project.
We were so excited to see your post last week about the doll house bath you've been working on. Your shabby cottage is probably THE single-most squeal-inducing mini project my 13yo daughter and I have ever enjoyed looking at together. Congrats on the publication!

ReplyDeleteHi Mercedes! Congratulations on having your cottage hit the presses once again! I love this little house of yours and I recall the first time that I saw it on line and I couldn't believe how Totally Adorable it was both inside and out. Since the first time I saw it and to this day, it continues to fascinate me with all of the wonderful details and textures and color and pattern combinations that you have layered and used throughout. So much thought and personality is incorporated into your project Mercedes, and that is why it is such a favorite with so many worldwide. Well done!
