The Shabby House

The exterior of the shabby house is almost finished. Anne helped me to make the doors, windows and weatherboards.
Now I need to decide what to put on the roof.
The house will sit on a board so it will have a little yard around it - I'm looking forward to filling that up!

  7. The house looks great...inside and out! I've enjoyed watching the progress. It must be so satisfiying to have a project so near to completion... :-)
I always have a dozen things started and never quite seem to finish any of them. I need to get more focused... You are an inspiration.

  25. A lovely house.
I think a "metal" farmhouse type roof might be a different touch.
Will you have flower boxes on the metal railing?

  26. It's adorable! :)

I'm thinking those rounded shingles would look good on the roof, I think they call them fish scales?

  27. This house is looking GOOD! Congratz to both you and Anne on a job well done. Can't believe you built this from scratch. From porches to house is quite a leap. I like Rosanna's weathervane idea. But do you mean you haven't decided on the roof tiles?
