I made these tiny mason jar lights for the kitchen a very long time ago.
Figuring out how to install them has taken some time!
I've coloured the jars slightly aqua.
There's also a light in the pantry - which is still waiting to be filled.
I had installed a little chandelier above the dining table but I was never thrilled with the way it looked.
Someone was throwing out this metal lamp shade.
I transformed it into a verdigris copper light fixture.
There's still a lot more to be done!
Mercedes, your a very wonderful artist. I love these lights. The color makes them give out a nice glow to the area.wonderfully done. Do you sell any of the items that you make?.... andrea
ReplyDeleteWonderful lights!
ReplyDeleteYou are one in a million, Mercedes! Your wee lights are unbelievably precious! I wish I had not lost my passion for miniatures. I think it came about because I just simply put off too much and watched too many tutorials without ever doing anything and then I just got overwhelmed by the project. My house sits unfinished in my living room and I look at it every day but somehow, I just cannot get rid of it. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteDear Mercedes...the additions and changes are in such good keeping with the character of the house! Love your creativity and the obvious pleasure working with miniatures you have...thank you so much for sharing! Cheers, Alayne
ReplyDeleteI like the mason jar lights very much, you have to do a tutorial on how you made them :)

I LOVE the way that you have modified the light shade over the kitchen table. It has such a lovely shape and the reflected light is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteI also like your mason jar lights over the work table, and I'll bet that your lady of the house really appreciates them there too! :D

All of the light fixtures are really nice. The Mason jars are my favorite in the group. I may have to try something like that in my cabin project kitchen - very inspiring and great photos. Thanks for the post - Troy

ReplyDeleteYOur house is so inspiring! I am always eager to see the next pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis is your miniature farm house? If so I am REALLY impressed! I got confused because I wondered who would be throwing out a miniature lampshade. At any rate I will be glued to my monitor waiting for tutorials!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea for the lights to use mason jars! (We used to put candles in them in RL) And the refinished shade over the table looks as though it has always been there! Wonderful work as usual!
ReplyDeleteAlways such a delight to see what you are working on at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThanks for always sharing...
